This page gives some information on bachelor’s and master’s theses in numerical analysis with Prof. Lubich. All information applies to both Science and Education students.

General information#

If you are interested in a bachelor’s or master’s thesis, the first step is finding a topic. Broadly speaking, you can choose between a theoretical and an algorithmic (i.e., more programming-intensive) thesis, and you can say which you prefer while choosing a topic.

If you already have your own idea for a topic, you are of course welcome to approach Prof. Lubich directly. Usually, however, you simply arrange a meeting with Prof. Lubich, where your interests and previous courses are discussed. Based on this, Prof. Lubich will suggest a suitable topic for your thesis. A (non-exhaustive) list of possible topics and topic areas can be found below.
